The cancel culture infects people more and more every day on social media. Users are keen on calling others out for all sorts of things. While some deeds are in the control of the victim of the cancel culture, other times it is not. Now it seems people have just had enough and are willing to hit back. In one such thread of tweets shared on Twitter, a beauty marketing firm woke up and chose violence.

A Twitter user shared a snapshot of a series of tweets that took place between The Cosmetic Lane and another Twitter user. Doing their job, the beauty marketing firm shared information about Earlobe Rejuvenation. A Twitter user responded by calling them out by mentioning how the rising sea level was going to wash California out yet this firm was trying to make people care about a few millimeters of their earlobes.

People handling the firm’s Twitter handle were not having any of it. The Cosmetic Lane wrote, “What exactly did you want us to do Cate? Did you want me to get a bucket to help put the water back? We’re simply trying to do our job.” Check it out here:

While a lot of social media users were not in favor of cosmetic companies selling surgeries that make people insecure about their bodies, they couldn’t help but find this hilarious. To them, this was a great comeback. Some even went on to tag Cate in their tweets and ask her to respond to the marketing firm’s response. A Twitter user wrote, “I mean as a Californian there’s not much to do until the rains stop so I applaud them for continuing to make their bag.”

“Lowkey these people did more for The Cosmetic Lane’s image than if they just didn’t interact,” another tweet read.

Another user tweeted, “Sometimes I think Twitter is a major waste of time. Then I find gems like this and think: ‘no, this is time well spent’.”

Twitter is no stranger to savage comebacks. Recently, self-proclaimed Andrew Tate was arrested in Romania. The arrest came just a few days after he had flexed the collection of his cars on Twitter. He had tagged environmental activist Greta Thunberg and asked her to provide her email address so that he can send a complete list of his car collection and their respective enormous emissions. The environmental activist had poked fun at him to enlighten her in a savage comeback. Check it out here:
